So recently I bought a TV at an auction, took it apart and found this huge (I think 52" TV) thick plastic piece. I thought, wouldn't it be cool if I could paint on this? I knew I couldn't paint acrylic on there cause then it would scratch off. But, along with that thick plastic piece were 3 other thin plastic pieces. So I cut them up into tiny squares and glued them onto the thick plastic to assemble a sunflower. I painted gesso on the plastic to give it some texture then painted in oil a sunflower. I also noticed turned the piece over, it looked so neat and that itself can be art. So there you have a double sided art piece!
Yes, I did paint this with my hair! But no, I was not whipping my hair around as you might think. I first cut my hair to put in a rubber band so I had 2 sides to paint with. I started painting and it was quite different but it was fun. Yes this painting does have little hairs around from my 'paint brush'. Here is a video of how I did it: And PS! If you're interested in buying this piece, please contact me. Price is negotiable! This also comes with a certificate of authenticity!
And here is the finished product, framed:
